Catherine Odhiambo is an award-winning food safety expert, editor, and food scientist dedicated to advancing food safety and quality across Africa. She currently serves as the Head of Media, Community & Events at Foodpreneurs Hub, where she helps foster innovation and growth within the food industry.
Her career began in the food manufacturing sector, where she excelled as a Quality Assurance Officer and received the prestigious Early Careers Food Safety Specialist Award from the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST). Catherine has since expanded her influence, contributing significantly to the launch of Africa’s first-ever Food Safety Magazine.
As the founder of TechPalate Insights, Catherine is at the forefront of discussions around the intersection of food safety and technology, driving awareness of how data and tech solutions can address critical food system challenges. She is honing her data science skills to further leverage technology in creating a safer and more resilient food value chain. Catherine's expertise spans content creation, market research, event organization, and strategic leadership, positioning her as a thought leader on topics such as sustainable food systems, food safety, and technological innovation.
